Description
Are you an analytical, Excel-savvy accounting professional looking to grow your career? We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to support cash applications, lockbox processing, and daily reconciliations for a fast-paced accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience and room for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card)
Process and reconcile lockbox activity
Perform daily cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Research and resolve unapplied cash and short payments
Assist with AR aging review and collections support
Prepare and maintain Excel reports (cash logs, reconciliation summaries, trend analysis)
Support month-end close related to cash and AR
Collaborate cross-functionally with billing and customer service teams
Requirements
1–3 years of accounting or finance experience
Strong cash applications and reconciliation experience
Lockbox processing experience required
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas required)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
