Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Colusa, California. This role involves managing financial records, handling payroll, and supporting administrative functions for a multi-entity organization. Responsibilities:
• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping processes for multiple entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy across all accounts.
• Process payroll for contractors while maintaining precise records and compliance documentation.
• Manage licensing requirements, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to regulations.
• Maintain employee files and provide administrative support for basic HR functions.
• Coordinate and monitor safety inspections, ensuring compliance with necessary standards.
• Assist in tracking and reporting for organic certification requirements.
• Support general office operations, including administrative tasks and organizational needs. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or office management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and work independently.
• Familiarity with contractor payroll processes and compliance requirements is advantageous.
• Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or multi-entity environments is preferred.
