JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: We have a need on 2nd Shift from 2:00 pm to midnight. Overtime is consistently 10 hours a week. This position is responsible for the general upkeep of all kinds of feed mill related equipment, conveyors, motors, VFDs, troubleshooting controls, work on automated packaging equipment, typical electrician duties (running wires, running conduit, upkeep on plant lighting, adding or deleting equipment), and anything else deemed necessary by management. The Maintenance Electrician will support production by redesigning, modifying, repairing and installing electrical equipment in a fast-paced, high quality pet food manufacturing facility. Requires knowledge of electrical control systems whether PLC based or simple relay logic. Job Requirements: Strong experience in at least two of the following; extrusion processes, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatics, gear boxes, and pumps. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and minor electrical issues. Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting. Root Cause analysis to prevent failure reoccurrence. Develop, document, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize down time Work as a team with all members of the Maintenance Department. Able to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights of 40+ feet. Safety conscious always. Proactive with potential failures to prevent unplanned down time. The ability to accomplish electrical repairs and troubleshooting on motors, VFD\'s. Applies knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques and operations. Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Skills: Experience with extruders or other food manufacturing equipment.
