Division: xPL Offsite Sourcing Project Location(s): Monroe, LA 71201 USA Minimum Years Experience: Travel Involved: 100% Job Type: Regular Job Classification: Experienced Education: Job Family: Construction Compensation: Salaried Exempt Position Description: Lead supplier management initiatives for assigned projects to establish high-quality performance and value delivery for xPL Offsite transportation activities and operational teams to meet service, cost, and performance goals. Manage, and optimize relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation carriers. Oversee daily project operations in transportation for accurate and efficient handling of domestic and international goods. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: Serve as primary main point of contact with transportation providers for xPL Offsite Transportation operations for assigned projects. Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet project objectives and manage expectations for transportation requirements aligned with internal stakeholders on inbound, outbound, and return goods flows. Manage domestic and international transportation partners and Third-party logistics providers to facilitate excellent customer service and cost-effective operations for awarded vendors. Maintain relationships with transportation providers to monitor and confirm proper handling based on best practices, budget, agreed performance levels, and xPL Offsite logistic standards. Create, maintain, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting metrics to identify opportunities to improve costs and services, and avoid financial exposures. Serve as primary transportation contact for onsite project teams, xPL Offsite teams, and other internal leaders. Maintain compliance with existing contracts and partner workflows (e.g., transport, customs) through KPIs analysis and conduct structured business reviews to identify risks, mitigate issues, and address complaints. Manage budgets and adhere to financial targets related to transportation management services and track profitability and trend financial performance. Provide real-time report about assigned projects (e.g., performance, status, risks, issue management) at regular intervals to xPL Transportation management. Engage in continuous learning activities to stay informed of emerging transportation technologies, industry trends, and best practices and share findings and best practices with team. Supervise team and participate in hiring process, onboard new employees, deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with employee development needs. Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned. This role is specifically located in Monroe, LA and requires you to be onsite daily. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field of study, and minimum of 8 years of experience with progressive responsibility in supply chain operations, transportation, or logistics and with minimum of 3 years of experience in a direct supply chain function, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Knowledge of procurement processes, implementation of 3PL, transportation carrier/mode network, and transportation services Experience in supply chain, 3PL, commercial construction, or related industry Knowledge of domestic and international manufacturers, suppliers, and maintain information on industry trends Working experience in inventory and supply chain management Ability to quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions Strong planning and organizational s
