Scope of Position

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard Solove Research Institute (the James) is committed to providing high quality cancer services in detection, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The James’ cancer strategic plan includes an initiative to expand cancer care into new regional, national, and international markets. The Theranostics Program Manager is responsible for strategic planning, operational, financial, and business oversight of theranostic services throughout the health system including James and non-James locations. The

Theranostics Program Manager works collaboratively with physician leadership, medical directors, Director of Radiology, Director of Nursing, and Senior leaders to ensure provision of high-quality patient care while insuring the financial viability of the service line and the hospital. The Theranostics Program Manager develops, aligns, and operationalizes the James clinical, academic, and research activities to support the overall cancer strategic plan and goals initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Position Summary

This position provides leadership for the development, implementation, and expansion of theranostic services. It integrates multidisciplinary teams, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives innovation in molecular imaging and targeted therapies. The Theranostics Program Manager collaborates with physician leaders, medical directors, and senior administrators to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining financial sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Sciences, Pharmacy, or healthcare related field (required).

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Healthcare Management, Radiopharmacy, or similar field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 6 years of relevant experience (required)

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a hospital or clinical setting. (preferred)

  • Direct experience with theranostics or radiopharmaceutical therapies (e.g., Lu-177, Ga-68, I-131) is highly preferred.

Certifications:

  • Certification/Licensure in one or more of the following preferred: CNMT, ARRT(N), Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), Nuclear Pharmacist, Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist OR Appropriate certifications for background and field of study
