Job Title: Talent Sourcing SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a proactive Talent Sourcing Specialist to partner with Talent Acquisition Specialists and hiring managers in sourcing and recruiting talent. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's growing workforce needs by creating pipelines of qualified candidates across various geographic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop extensive pools of highly qualified candidates to meet current and future organizational needs.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of job requirements and expectations.

  • Conduct research on talent markets to understand supply and demand dynamics, gather competitor intelligence, and identify effective sourcing locations.

  • Build and implement creative recruiting strategies using digital platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.

  • Promote a consistent company brand to candidates and applicants.

  • Participate in innovative resource strategies such as US Army PaYS and employee resource groups.

  • Utilize hiring and sourcing statistics to continually refine and improve recruitment strategies.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with college and university placement offices to generate qualified applicants.

  • Schedule and attend job fairs and career events with appropriate staff to attract qualified applicants.

  • Source and refer qualified candidates to Talent Acquisition Specialists for further consideration.

  • Update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Five years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement for professional and management-level positions.

  • Three years of experience with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.

  • Proficiency in recruiting, talent acquisition, and human resources.

  • Experience with Workday is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, but candidates must reside within the AEP footprint and be within 50 miles of an AEP facility, such as Roanoke, Columbus, Tulsa, Ft. Wayne, or Shreveport. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role offers PTO and holiday pay while on contract, with a history of converting temporary roles to full-time positions.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.67 - $43.67/hr.
