What You'll Do
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned to, but they may include:
Accounting & Finance
Gain solid exposure to an ERP system (SAP) and understand how it is used to record and report financial transactions
Understand and gain deep insight into the month-end financial close process and sub-processes that support the close.
Gain insight into how actual results are reported against budget and forecast
Analyze accounting and financial data
Increase your knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence/Analytical tools and how they are leveraged to increase the effectiveness of reporting
Perform a variety of financial analyses to help business leaders in decision-making
Project Controls
Gain solid exposure to an ERP system (SAP) and understand how it is used to record and report financial transactions
Develop analytical skills behind budget development, budget control, and monitoring of actuals
Assist with monthly financial close activities, including preparation of accruals, variance analysis, and reconciliations
Learn how project forecasts are developed, updated and participate in refining forecast accuracy
Support the review of vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, and refinery standards
Gain exposure to turnaround, maintenance, expense organizations budget development, cost tracking, reporting, and performance metrics
Assist in compiling management reports and dashboards for leadership review
Support development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for turnaround and maintenance cost efficiency
Gain understanding of procurement processes and the role of project controls in managing commitments and obligations
Develop working knowledge of timekeeping and labor cost allocations for refinery and contractor staff
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting or reduce manual processes
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).
Available to begin work in September 2026.
