Scope of Position

The Staffing Coordinator provides integral supportive services to the James and Clinical Resource Staff. The Staffing Coordinator serves as a liaison between other departmental service lines by providing staffing support, guidance, direction and assistance as needed. Additionally, the Staffing Coordinator will provide staffing and clerical assistance for the Float Pool and Clinical Resources cost center. This team member is flexible, especially as the department continues to grow in volume and activity. It is vital that this team member is friendly, enthusiastic, and promotes a culture of cooperation and mutual respect amongst the departments served.

Position Summary

The Staffing Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Manager for Nursing Support Services and perform essential non-clinical functions within the James and Clinical Resources Department. In addition, the Staffing Coordinator will work with James Administrative Nursing Supervisors to assist with coordination of staffing resources throughout the hospital. The hours of this position are variable including weekends and holidays. This position will also be responsible for basic business functions within the Department of Clinical resources including, but not limited to, production of educational and other department communication materials, report/data generation and other business-related functions.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
