Liberty Mutual Technology Group Inc. Sr. Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
- Work collaboratively on an Agile team to develop and enhance complex systems and/or software from user stories and technical/architectural specifications.
- Solve business problems and drive direct outcomes through innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations, driving best in class claims experiences.
- Provide oversight and mentorship for junior developers
- Partner to create architectural designs for software systems
- Troubleshoot and provide support for multiple software applications
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:
- Full stack engineering skills, including React, Node JS and Graphql.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least two object-oriented and functional programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node JS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts, and principles.
- Translating client requirements into technical designs.
- Demonstrated Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset.
- Demonstrated expertise with IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions and designs.
High-level proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL databases.
