Senior Finance Director, Mount Carmel Medical Group
Position Purpose:
The Finance Director for the Medical Group directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Directs the planning, organizing and implementation of the Medical Group's financial planning activities, budgeting, accounting systems and controls.
Position Requirements:
Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
Licensure / Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
Experience: 10 or more years of experience in hospital financial operations with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Thorough understanding of external, regulatory, payor and other forces impacting health care financial operations and thorough understanding of healthcare and medical group finance applications.
· Extremely proficient with personal computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Ability to organize, plan and direct staff and manage the financial activities of a large financial services department while maintaining a strategic perspective
Ability to provide advice, guidance and mentorship to lower levels of management in a manner that enhances leadership skills
Ability to function as a mentor and provide leadership in a team building environment
Project management skills with proven success at managing large-scale projects working independently and leading projects
Ability to organize and to prioritize work in a diverse, fast paced environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously and complete assignments according to established timelines
Ability to organize and work independently with a high level of motivation and initiative while being entrepreneurial, creative and results oriented and must possess proactive orientation with a willingness to take managed risks
Ability to understand and interpret complex issues and processes and to recommend actions related to financial operations resulting in financial improvement and/or operations compliance and/or enhancement
Ability to create/design and present information in a presentation format that translates technical financial terminology into terms understandable to leadership, associates, and external customers
Ability to work with all levels of management and associates within the organization and the home office as well as external customers utilizing good listening skills and interpreting end users’ needs
This position will have an onsite presence at our Corporate and Medical Group offices.
