The DC Inventory Control Sr. Accountant is responsible for moderately to highly complex accounting activities related to the management of inventory, Intercompany transactions, Operational DC Movements, Inventory Valuation, Metric Reporting, and Commercial Invoice creation. Position reports to Manager, DC Inventory Control.

Responsibilities* Execute controls to ensure adherence to departmental standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.* Review and reconcile system interfaces to general ledger monthly.* Review monthly aging for DC inventory, analyze and present key metrics to leadership teams.* Review and reconcile intercompany balances monthly.* Review and analyze current finance processes, identify areas of opportunity and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficacy and effectiveness in a controlled environment.* Ensure inventory integrity and accuracy through partnership with DC associates and various metrics* Establish and maintain relationships with DC Operations, BBW Finance, Technology and many cross-functional partners.* Assist in the creation of Commercial Invoices for all export shipments.

Qualifications

  • High attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to multi-task and work independently; able to meet all deadlines and handle multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge and application of financial and accounting principles and fundamentals.

  • Conducts all work in an ethical, honest, professional and confidential manner.

  • Continuous improvement / process improvement focused.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred with a CPA a plus

  • 3-5 years Accounting and/or Finance experience

  • SAP-enabled process experience/skills preferred

  • PC skill proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
