Scope of Position
The Ohio State University is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Quality Program Coordination Senior Analyst will develop and implement OSUWMC-specific references and tools to support evidence-based guideline recommendations and best practices to improve patient care processes, reduce variation in practice, and support medical education. In addition, this position will support the development of processes to measure and evaluate use of guidelines and outcomes of care, design real-time evaluation mechanisms, and provide feedback to clinicians to improve care.
Position Summary
The primary role of Quality Program Coordination Senior Analyst is to coordinate, design and maintain quality programs and ensure compliance with regulatory and other requirements. Coordinates mechanisms to help identify and prioritize ongoing opportunities for improvement. Collects, analyzes and reports meaningful quality metrics. Recommend and facilitate strategies for improvement. Monitors effectiveness of improvement strategies. Validates sustained improvement over time and provides training and education on quality programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in health related specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Preferred Experience
Clinical Knowledge: Understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and disease processes.
Data Management Skills: Proficiency in data collection, entry, validation, and analysis.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and data management systems, experience utilizing the internet and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness in documentation, and adherence to protocols and regulations.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions to improve patient outcomes.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams, present data and information clearly, and facilitate training and debriefing sessions. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
