Definition

This position will support ReRoute program development, maintenance evaluation and quality improvement utilizing the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards for Behavioral Health Case Management. This position will be responsible for managing direct program staff (i.e. Community Clinical Counselors) to provide clinical counseling and case management services. This position will work in partnership with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to ensure effective program operations for the ReRoute Program. This position will be responsible for reporting outcomes and researching evidenced based practices for community-based interventions for at-risk youth. Position will include some evenings and weekends. P erforms related duties as required.

Pay Range:

$35.94 - $53.90

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in social work or counseling preferred. Certification as LISW-S or LPCC-S is preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health counseling, case management, or community-based services with youth and families impacted by violence. Experience leading or supporting program audits, accreditation readiness, and continuous quality improvement activities preferred. Three years of demonstrated experience supervising clinical or case management staff preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse staff and community residents.

Examples of Work

Promotes, establishes, or expands health care services or educational programming throughout the community;

Selects, trains, and supervises employees to include completing performance evaluations, approving leave, and handling employee problems and communication;

Investigates budget needs and prepares applications to funding agencies and assists in securing funding for programs and projects;

Collects and analyzes data relevant to health care services or educational programs;

Responds to health related questions and serves as a department representative on boards and committees in the community;

Evaluates program, assures compliance to standards and requirements, and recommends changes to services, materials, or operations;

Provides technical assistance; provides resources to or conducts educational programs for civic groups, health organizations, employee groups, and others;

Provides back-up support to program staff in serving clients;

Develops and implements procedures for a health care service or educational program;

Prepares reports detailing activities, facilities, and funding for a health program;

Responds to and provides leadership for public health emergencies and significant events;

May participate in continuous quality improvement and performance management initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in public health conducting or managing services, programs, or educational activities. Substitutions: Possession of a master’s degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

Some positions allocated to this classification may require State of Ohio certification or licensure due to the nature of or the funding requirements for the program.

Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
