Program Risk Solutions Manager - PMP

The Program Risk Solutions Manager is responsible for managing various risk advisory engagements for large business application transformations or IT modernization engagements. The primary role of this position is to manage projects from initiation to closure, drive new business opportunities before project completion, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a high-level understanding of our services, and exceptional people skills. This is a critical role that will work with cross-functional teams, staff through executives, to help identify risk through IV&Vs (Independent Verification and Validations) for IT modernizations, or manage program risk for the entire cycle of the implementation, or manage the implementation risk mitigation solutions for business applications (SAP, Oracle, D365, NetSuite, Workday).

RSM's Business Application Risk Solutions is part of RSM's risk consulting practice, specializes in managing governance, risk, security, and compliance across the full lifecycle of core business applications-from implementation through steady-state operations. We help organizations derisk transformations through regulatory requirements system integrity solutions, program risk management, independent verification and validations (IV&Vs), and rigorous data quality validation and analytics. We design and manage integrated and scalable compliant application security solutions. We unlock the power of business applications, enabling automation to manage operational and regulatory compliance risk, or implementing intelligent controls, compliance analytics, and business application GRC solutions.

This position is unique, and is reporting to the practice leader, which will lead to exposure to others across the firm, as you would also help with operational roll-out of internal initiatives, help us organize internal methodology and documentation as we go through our knowledge management change order, and be an advisor of strategic planning and business management of the practice. Pending strong performance, this position would have the opportunity to move up to director quickly.

Responsibilities:

Program Risk Management: Identify and manage project and program risks for large-scale business application projects (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday) or IT modernization initiatives; oversee engagement budgets and timelines. Identify proactive mitigation measures are in place to address potential issues. Monitor project team responses to report recommendations to ensure both the system integrator and the client address identified risks, supporting successful project outcomes.

Technical Project Management Excellence: Oversee projects from initiation to completion, delivering on time, within scope and budget. Handle discovery, financials, and reporting to boost profitability and efficiency. Set high operational standards for both internal work and client deliverables. Guide teams technically to ensure solutions fit business goals and project requirements.

Documentation: Record achievements, risks, issues, and key deliverables as needed; join project team meetings per current schedules. Prepare and present analytical reports that objectively assess processes, work products, and deliverables for
