Physician Recruiter
Position Purpose:
The Physician Recruiter provides full scope of physician recruitment initiatives, including consulting and communicating with Health Providers, physicians, residents, and hospital administration. Coordinates lead generation strategies for opportunities; screens and interviews physicians; coordinates and hosts physician site visits; facilitates contract negotiations with proper stakeholders; manages/coordinates background checks, relocation arrangements; and initiates credentialing/privilege process. Coordinates with Director Physician Development the offering of Physician Practice Assistance Program; maintains a constant source of information with regard to new physician contacts, taking appropriate and timely measures to recruit the physicians to the most appropriate Mount Carmel opportunity. Position requires
a high level of customer service, sales, and organizational skills to effectively juggle all components of job. Candidate must be creative and innovative in decision making regarding the appropriate opportunity for each specific candidate while always keeping the mission of Mount Carmel Health System in mind.
Minimum Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Personnel/Human Resources, Communications, Health or related field or a minimum of five years experience in physician recruitment or related experience.
· Experience: A minimum if 2-3 years recent relevant experience in Provider Recruitment.
· Effective Communication Skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in an independent environment as well as in a collaborative team environment. Recruitment/marketing/sales skills, negotiation skills, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills are an absolute requirement in this position.
· Position will require the ability to be comfortable and confident in sourcing candidates via cold calling, data base analysis, internet searches and networking with physicians.
· Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and the flexibility to meet multiple and continuous deadlines.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and make sound judgments while being tenacious, resourceful and proactive always demonstrating a professional image as well as the ability to interact with professionals at all levels within both the community and healthcare arena.
· Ability to create strong relationships with candidates, staff, and administration essential in this position.
· Must have a good working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local employment statutes and regulations, including staying current on both Stark and Safe Harbor requirements in both physician recruitment and physician practices, as well as applicable health care credentialing regulations.
· Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new and upgraded computerized systems relating to job responsibilities. Working knowledge of personnel computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other software.
· In-depth knowledge of physician recruitment and selections procedures; a basic knowledge of fair market value compensation factors; familiarity of field concepts and procedures.
· This position may occasionally require overnight travel, evening or weekend work depending on the physician's scheduling requirements.
· Candidate must have access to an automobile and valid Ohio driver’s license is required
