Part-time Seasonal Laboratory Technician -- Columbus, OH

[Great Lakes Environmental Center, Inc. (GLEC) is recruiting candidates for a part-time seasonal laboratory technician at our Columbus, Ohio Toxicology Laboratory. GLEC is an established employee-owned contract research firm that is a national leader in protecting aquatic environmental resources through work for federal, state, industrial, and non-profit organizations. Typical responsibilities for this position include laboratory work for the assessment of water quality through the analysis of environmental samples of water and sediment for acute and chronic toxicity following standard USEPA and ASTM guidelines and protocols. Primary Responsibilities:

• [Work alongside the toxicology laboratory staff to ensure efficient sample processing.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif;="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
• [Organism culturing.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif;="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
• [Assist the toxicology laboratory staff with sample receiving, sample check-in, wet chemistries and toxicity testing.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif;="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
• [Prepare samples for analysis (e.g., sample logging, temperature control, and preparation of dilutions).]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif;="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
• [Strongly adhere to quality assurance/quality control and data integrity protocols.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif;="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}

Qualifications:
