Manufacturing Engineer
- Make process and machine improvements to maximize press efficiency
- Create or modify job procedures to improve operator effectiveness and efficiency
- Enforce operating procedures to ensure the highest quality product
- Assist Product Development Engineers in developing new products, requiring covering all shifts and weekends as needed by Production and Engineering
- Assist Engineering team in making design changes that will maximize part efficiency and reduce quality defects at the press
- Support the forging supervisor in the review process
- Support department personnel and tasks
- Manage documents related to the forging process
- Analyze tooling failures
- Analyze microstructure, grain flow, and hardness results
- Assist Quality team with part defects to further improve the forging process
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
