We are looking for a “ Lab Tech “ to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Title: Lab Tech
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 9 Months
Pay Rate:$22/hr on w2
Summary:
The Laboratory Technician performs chemical and physical laboratory tests and conducts qualitative analysis of various materials, liquids, and gases. This role supports research, quality control, and process monitoring activities by preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate test records. The position is classified as Non-Exempt, and hours worked beyond 40 per week will be compensated at time-and-a-half in accordance with company policy and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory testing on materials, liquids, and gases.
Perform qualitative analysis and document test results accurately.
Prepare and handle samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Assist in research activities and process control testing.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, logs, and reports.
Support quality assurance and troubleshooting activities as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas and equipment.
Required Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience in chemical testing or analysis.
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, analytical techniques, and safety standards.
Experience handling laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to document results and follow testing protocols accurately.
