The Respiratory Protection Specialist is responsible for conducting respirator fit tests for faculty and staff who are at risk of exposure to known airborne or unknown pathogens and/or hazardous materials. The Respiratory Protection Specialist will assist with planning, and implementing programs, policies, procedures and activities related to the safety and health of patients, visitors, staff, and property. The Respiratory Protection Specialist interacts with contractors, hospital staff, Safety Management, Security Management, Facilities Services Management, Medical Center Management, and outside regulatory and code authorities. This position will ensure that all compliance issues are communicated, completed, and documented. The position will attend and actively participate and/or deliver presentations in various meetings and committees; such as the Environment of Care Committee (EOC), Infection Protection Committee (IPC) and Life Safety Committee. The Respiratory Protection Specialist will assist other departments with regulatory and compliance related
training needs.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience
Additional Information:
The target hiring range for this job profile is $22.93 - $29.95 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
