Aerotek Facilities Maintenance Technician in Columbus, Ohio

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The position operates on a shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves performing general facilities maintenance preventative measures and handling service calls. This includes project-based work such as setting up and tearing down Christmas lights and decorations over several months. HVAC work is not required, as it is managed by an external contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general facilities maintenance and handle service calls.

  • Set up and dismantle Christmas lights and decorations over a multi-month process.

  • Conduct plumbing tasks including maintenance of sinks, drains, faucets, toilets, urinals, and piping.

  • Handle electrical work such as security systems, alarm systems, outlets, sockets, and lighting.

  • Perform groundskeeping duties including trash and landscape pickup and snow removal as needed.

  • Engage in light carpentry work involving doors, locks, and other fixtures.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or hotel settings.

  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, groundskeeping, and light carpentry.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in pool maintenance and relevant certifications.

  • Possession of a plumbing license.

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to pass MVR for insurance purposes.

  • Reliable vehicle for commuting.

Work Environment

The work environment includes maintaining the common areas such as halls, entrances, bathrooms, outdoors, and breezeways of Easton Mall. Technicians are not responsible for store maintenance, as tenants handle their own maintenance requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
