Position Summary
We are seeking an adaptable Distribution Planner that is flexible to communicate with our Asia manufacturing sites daily on changes and requirements needed to satisfy our customers and assist us to strive for operational excellence. They will be responsible for planning & coordinating shipments from the manufacturing plants to the Hebron KY Distribution Center (CLC/HDC). Daily responsibility for Intra Co. Purchase Order & Sales Order Planning and Inventory availability. Intra Co PO planning will be done in accordance to end customer CRD availability and optimization of Freight Cost & Shipping modes. Various Intra Co FG Kanban boards for the CLC/HDC will also be the responsibility of the Distribution Planner.
Position Responsibilities
Intra CO Purchase Orders Planning:
+ + Ensure proper placement of Intra Co Purchase orders & Sales Orders with Correct Incoterms, Lead time and Mode of Transport
Ensures that the dates are correct and updated in the Oracle ERP system
Coordinates with the manufacturing facilities and Shipping departments for timely delivery of the incoming shipments to the (CLC/HDC) Hebron KY Distribution Center.
Follow-up on overdue sales orders in the manufacturing plants, planning the best ship method to avoid disruptions in the supply chain and delivery to the customers.
Join weekly MPS meetings with each MFG site for capacity constraints
Communicate current Lead time and ATP to CLC/HDC CSR team.
Work with MFG site in optimizing Batch sizes, Packaging and Expedite freight
Responsible for Intra Company FG Kanban System in CLC/HDC:
+ + Administrator of KB FG Loops
Respond to empty cards & Replenish PO's
Resolve Auto Receive errors
Monthly KB calculator review with CLC/HDC Distribution Manager
Monthly review of health status of KB board
Add / reduce Styles and cards to the board
Logistics Inbound Freight Mode & cost optimization:
+ + Determine and select proper Freight mode for all Inbound Shipments to CLC/HDC (Rail, Air, Express, Ocean)
Provides information to the warehouse and CSRs on inbound shipments
Monitoring and follow-up with the designated transport companies on the ETA of the incoming shipments
Measures and communicates Inbound logistics Forwarder performance
Ensures that the correct forwarders are used, as agreed in the annual Approved Sensience Routing Guide.
Ensure correct pricing for each freight mode is known
Create and processes premium Freight Board Requests (FBR) for expedites in a timely manner in accordance with approved guidelines.
Monthly review of Inbound freight cost by mode with Sensing & Protection Logistics team
FG Inventory management:
+ + Responsible for maintaining proper FG Inventory levels in CLC/HDC
Maintains the customer's Safety / Consignment stock at the agreed levels by monitoring actual inventory levels, customers expected demand and actual production orders.
Monthly Inventory Projections & Inventory Exhibit with Distribution manager
Inventory accuracy and Quarterly reconciliation of Excess & Obsolete
Outbound Transport, Logistics & Warehouse:
+ + Spokesperson for CSR and Sales team towards Logistics and Transportation performance
Improve Logistics Outbound performance with Forwarders
Ensure proper RMA returns handling and Samples Logistics flow
Address packaging, labelling, repack where appropriate
Trade Compliance:
+ + Ensure that customer & all transaction screening is properly performed when required as per the company's trade compliance procedures and instructions.
- Any concerns or questions are to be escalated to the local gatekeeper.
Position Requirements
+ + Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or any 4-year Business Course or related field
2-3 years' experience working in Supply Chain/Logistics/Procurement related activities, B2B environment, preferably with a manufacturing or distribution company.
Flexible Work Schedule
Working knowledge of MS Office, or equivalent productivity suites, currently in use by the Company.
Experience in operating ERP systems such as Oracle is a plus.
General basis knowledge of Materials mgmt. systems, Pull, JIT, Kanban is preferred.
Customer focus and Customer Satisfaction mindset.
Ability to coordinate between the different departments in the organization (Production/Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, Planners, Materials, Quality, Shipping Department, and Credit Department.
