The Director of Clinical Practice provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the Ohio State University (OSU) Total Health Care Center (THCC) (http://thw.osu.edu/) , a public entity Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role ensures delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with all Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program requirements. The Clinical Executive Director oversees clinical operations, quality improvement, care coordination, and population health initiatives to advance the organization’s mission of equitable and accessible healthcare. In addition, the Director of Clinical Practice promotes, supports, and advocates for the members of the interprofessional team to work at the top of scope of education, certification, and licensure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and the Director of Quality Assurance and Process Improvement, ensures compliance with all federal/HRSA, state, local, and other grant requirements.

  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Finance and CEO to ensure fiscally sound practices within clinical departments.

  • Member of the OSU Total Health Care Center Executive Team.

  • Liaison to the Total Health and Wellness Community Care, INC Board of Directors.

  • Maintains current knowledge regarding today’s healthcare environment, including all THCC disciplines/interprofessional providers: Nursing (APRNs, RNs, LPNs), Medicine, Dentistry (Dentists, DAs, RDHs), Social Work, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Pharmacy, Dietetics, and essential support staff. Represents/advocates for THCC clinical professions to external partners or governing bodies to advance and influence clinical practice at the local, regional, and states levels.

  • Oversees provider recruitment, performance, and retention.

  • Supervises all clinical teams, and ensures performance benchmarks are maintained.

  • Collaborates with the lead clinicians to ensure that all clinical sites are operating effectively and efficiently.

  • Oversees and maintains all clinical policies and procedures.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance and standards of care. Ensures HRSA Operational Site Visit (OSV) readiness and policy compliance.

  • Oversees clinical quality performance benchmarks.

  • Represents THCC to outside agencies and entities.

  • Coordinates monthly meetings with clinical department leadership.

  • Serves as clinical resource to all departments.

  • Clinically practices at least 1 day/week.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Health Care Administration.

  • 10 years of healthcare leadership experience.

  • Current Ohio RN and APRN license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

  • Knowledge of HRSA requirements and quality frameworks.

  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare populations.

  • Experience with 340B compliance.
