Digital Press Operator

Administration and Planning | UniPrint Printing and Copying Production

  • Responsible for producing materials in the printing and copying processes throughout the plant. Responsible for meeting production deadlines and outputschedules asassigned by supervisors.

  • Responsible for arranging assigned work inmostefficient and cost-effective manner toaccomplishwork.

  • Produce digital printed media for the organization throughuseof printing equipment andhigh-volumeduplicating equipment.

  • Operates auxiliary equipment that is complimentary to the digital press and necessary to meet theclient’sneeds.

  • Ensure quality control.

  • Perform maintenanceand/or minor repair of equipment.

  • Performs general tasks and routine assignments.

  • Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement.

Minimum Education Required

HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

One year of experience (2-4 years of relevant experience preferred) working offset printing and digital copying.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of all facets of printing and copying (pre-press, pressroom, bindery and mailing); strong computer literacy skills including locating, moving, imposing and troubleshooting files; experience in color management. Thorough knowledge of bindery equipment, materials and methods of operation; experience and knowledge of paper and differences in stock; strong problem-solving skills; ability to meet production schedules and ability to multi-task; ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
