JPMorgan Chase Control Manager Senior Associate in Columbus, Ohio

As a Control Manager Senior Associate within the organization, you will perform data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation to prepare datasets for analysis and reporting. You will build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable business insights. You will conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform decision-making. Leveraging prompt engineering techniques, you will extract insights from AI-powered analytics tools and develop automated reporting solutions to enhance data accessibility. You will partner with project teams to analyze, map, and document processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. Supporting process improvement initiatives, you will focus on simplification, reducing manual touchpoints, and digital transformation. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will translate business needs into analytical solutions and analyze data assets to contribute to executive decision-making. You will create process metrics and KPIs to measure the success of improvement initiatives and work across cross-functional teams to support organizational change. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members while continuously developing your own analytics and business skills, fostering continuous improvement and innovation within the team and organization.
Job responsibilities:
Perform data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation to prepare datasets for analysis and reporting
Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable business insights
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform decision-making
Leverage prompt engineering techniques to extract insights from AI-powered analytics tools
Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data accessibility
Partner with project teams to analyze, map, and document processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
Support process improvement initiatives focusing on simplification, reducing manual touchpoints, and digital transformation
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
Analyze data assets to extract actionable insights and contribute to compelling narratives that inform executive decision-making
Create process metrics and KPIs to measure improvement initiative success
Work across cross-functional teams to support process improvement and organizational change initiatives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline
3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical roles
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
Experience with data wrangling and manipulation using tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy) or similar
Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Experience with Excel/Google Sheets for advanced analysis and modeling
Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline concepts
Understanding of basic statistical methods and their application to business problems
Experience using AI-powered tools and prompt engineering to enhance analytical workflows
1+ years of experience in business transformation, process analytics, data analytics, or operational improvement
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present to senior audiences
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Advanced degree (Master's) in Analytics, Business, or related field
Management consulting exposure or internship experience
Relevant certifications: Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt, Green Belt), Google Data Analytics Certificate, Tableau Certification and experience with Alteryx or similar data preparation tools
Knowledge of process mining tools and techniques
Familiarity with prompt engineering best practices for analytical applications and understanding of agile methodologies, change management, or process improvement frameworks
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, customer service principles, and systems thinking applied to process optimization
Experience with survey design and qualitative data analysis and familiarity with A/B testing and experimental design concepts
