Insight Global Civil Construction Inspector I in Columbus, Ohio

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a an entry level construction inspector I to join a large engineering client's team. On a typical day, you’ll be out in the field reviewing active construction work, coordinating with contractors, and documenting progress. You might start the morning reviewing plans and schedules, then move on to inspecting concrete placement, observing soil compaction testing, or recording daily quantities and site conditions. Throughout the day, you’ll communicate observations clearly and professionally, supporting the project team with accurate field documentation that keeps work moving safely and efficiently.

Skills and Requirements

· 1-3 YOE with road and bridge construction projects

 · Previous ODOT experience

 · Ability to interpret construction schedules and plans

 · Project inspector I certification

 · Structures experience

Soil and Aggregate experience • Strong written communication skills for accurate field documentation

 • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

 • Willingness to work in active construction environments

 • Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism

Technical school or Associate degree
