Job Description
An employer is seeking a Communications Technician to join their Telecommunications team. This team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the enterprise organization's telecommunication systems. On a daily basis, the Communications Technician will be providing field support for their specific region by supporting local projects, system preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and 24-hour on call support. They will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of various communication types including voice, data, SCADA, video, Microwave, and satellite. This role requires travel within their geographical territory and should expect to be in the local office when they are not servicing the field.
This is a permanent opportunity that will be paid hourly at a range of $45.00 - 55.00 + overtime.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years of experience in telecommunications / field technician roles
Experience installing troubleshooting and maintaining telecommunications systems and equipment including radio, fiberoptics, LAN cabling systems, wireless data systems, phone systems, and CCTV
Ability to travel within geographical regions on a regular basis
Experience at a utilities or oil and gas company FCC License
CCNA certification
PMP certification
