The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will be an integral member of the Network Security Implementation and Sustainment (NSIS) Services division, contributing to comprehensive network management.

This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from the conceptualization and design of network architectures to the execution, maintenance, and enhancement of current network infrastructures.

The position requires collaboration within a dynamic team operating on a 24/7 basis, with flexible shift options available to ensure continuous service delivery and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes design specifications, implements communication system requirements, and evaluates network characteristics to troubleshoot issues and recommend enhancements, ensuring optimal network performance and data flow management.

  • Designs, integrates, configures, deploys, tests, and supports a variety of network devices and methodologies, including load-balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, and NAT, to meet server and system requirements.

  • Optimizes network configurations for connectivity with front-end and back-end components, and coordinates with system engineering and data flow efforts to ensure minimal downtime and efficient mission operations.

  • Facilitates the implementation of high-speed, scalable, and fault-tolerant network topologies for WAN/LAN design, and leads initiatives involving dynamic requirements and scale.

  • Collaborates with Systems Engineers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, resolve complex network problems, and operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and simulators.

  • Manages assigned tasks, provides guidance to junior Network Engineers, and validates data flow and formats, coordinating with relevant organizations to understand and mitigate potential adverse impacts on system-wide data flow.

  • Designs, integrates, tests, and deploys RF communications solutions, and leads large-scale efforts.

  • Contributes to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and management, designing and implementing security systems.

  • Supports the Government by providing technical leadership to engineering teams, recommending solutions to resolve security requirements, and enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.

Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Poly is required

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required; alternatively, four (4) additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.

  • Five (5) years of experience with network tools such as What’s Up Gold and NetFlow, and SIGINT tools including Common View/Max View, Triton, and TUMMS.

  • Three (3) years of experience with DCID 6/3 and/or ICD 503, “Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation” (dated 15 September 2008), creating firewall rule sets from network traffic analysis, component validation of security devices, integrating boundary solutions into customer networks, and configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$120,800 - $265,800
