BigBear.ai Information System Security Officer 3 w /Poly in Columbia, Maryland
Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer 3 (ISSO) to join our team on a brand-new contract! In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding information systems for a dynamic program and organization. You will help shape and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies to ensure secure and resilient computer operations.
What you will do
Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge information security strategies.
Maintain a strong operational security posture to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to propose, coordinate, and enforce security policies and best practices.
Manage the security aspects of complex information systems and perform hands-on, day-to-day security operations.
Develop and update the system security plan and other Cybersecurity documentation.
Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
What you need to have
Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w Poly.
Experience:
Ten (10) years of combined work-related experience in the fields of IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization.
Experience in several of the following areas:
Knowledge of current security tools.
Hardware/software security implementation.
Communication protocols.
Encryption tools and techniques.
Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT Engineering.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted.
Certifications: IAM Level I certification.
