Vail Resorts Sr Sales & Service Manage in Colorado

Job Summary:

The Catering and Conference Services Manager is the primary Resort contact for definite group/catering bookings, with a focus on weddings and social events.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $47,840.00 - $69,078.89

  • Employment Type: Year Round

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan all aspects of bookings and events with a heavy emphasis on weddings and social events

  • Maximize revenue for all Resort Lines of Business through strong product knowledge and upselling techniques.

  • Respond to inquiries and bookings as assigned.

  • Assure timely collection of deposits, including final deposit based on estimated spend.

  • Securing final payment per contract terms

  • Reconciling the actual financial results in the Delphi FDC (or OESM) booking per SOP.

  • Monitor all activity on the Group Master Account. Assure all charges are accurate and approved by the client.

  • Strive for accurate forecasting throughout the life of the booking based on information shared and historic notes (if available)

  • Assure risk management policies are followed

  • Obtain Insurance documents from clients and vendors as required

  • Adhere to Resort Safety SOPs.

  • Prepare reports as assigned.

  • Plan internal meetings/events as assigned.

  • Adhere to all Salesforce/Delphi and/or OESM SOPs.

  • Responsibilities will require working some nights, weekends and holiday periods.

  • Responsible for on-site coverage including 2+ days in-office, based on business levels.

  • Maintain integrity with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Position may be responsible for planning events for multiple Vail Resorts Destinations

Job Requirement:

  • College Degree Preferred Work Experience:

  • 2 Years Conference Services or Event Planning Experience, Wedding

  • Coordination Experience is preferred Supervisory Experience:

  • State and local requirements for Food and Alcohol Service Computer Skills:

  • Delphi FDC/Salesforce Experience, Opera OESM Experience, Social Tables, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

  • Creative and Solution Oriented

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $47,840.00 - $69,078.89. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
