Kratos is seeking a highly motivated candidate as a Technical Project Manager to transition a large ground Space Mission Operations contract to the next phase of development and operations. The Technical Project Manager coordinates with the previous contractor and USG to plan and execute transition tasks.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan and execute the transition of a Mission Operations Center from a development contract into operations
Proactively coordinate and track cross-team and cross-program dependencies
Manage subcontractor performance
Proactively solve technical and programmatic challenges
Apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles
Assess and mitigate risk throughout the lifecycle
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless handoff of a technical baseline
Regular travel to Boulder, CO and/or other locations
Position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Required Experience:
Project Management experience on an EVMS-compliant program
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute a development program
In-depth knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) contract execution, including control account, schedule, and risk management
Awareness of cybersecurity accreditation procedures
Demonstrated leadership of an engineering team on a ground station program
Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization and their hardware platforms
Working knowledge of space systems, including satellite ground systems
Experience with military space operations
Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines
Sense of ownership, urgency, and drive to accomplish results
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefings
BS in STEM degree with 8+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management
Current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Preferred Skills and Experience
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
Test experience, working with the DoD customer to transition a development system to operations, is a plus
Experience working within the Defense and/or Aerospace industry
Experience in ground systems, system engineering, or software is a plus
Experience developing customer documentation deliverables
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Sharp analytical abilities and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include requirements development, validation and verification for conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design
Ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team
Position is contingent upon successful contract award.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $130,000-$185,000
