Focus on the Family Sr. Digital Experience Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Sr. Digital Experience Manager position exists to lead the execution, delivery, and continual optimization of Focus on the Family’s digital constituent experiences across websites, mobile platforms, and engagement technologies. Working in close partnership with the Director of Digital Engagement, this role translates digital strategy and ministry priorities into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, and team execution. The position ensures that Focus on the Family’s digital properties deliver intuitive, personalized, and impactful experiences through thoughtful UX leadership, Salesforce-enabled personalization, analytics, and platform excellence. This leader serves as the operational owner of the organization’s digital experience ecosystem, guiding daily execution across platforms, tools, vendors, and specialists while aligning all work to strategic direction and measurable outcomes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategy & Delivery Leadership:

  • Partners closely with the Director of Digital Engagement to translate digital strategy and ministry priorities into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, and sprint plans for the Digital Experience team. Leads day-to-day execution by defining requirements, establishing success metrics, prioritizing work based on impact and capacity, and ensuring projects are delivered effectively and on time. Provides clarity, removes obstacles, and ensures alignment between strategic vision and tactical implementation so the team can execute with focus and consistency.

    Digital Experience & UX:

  • Leads the design, structure, and continual optimization of end-to-end constituent journeys across Focus on the Family’s websites and digital touchpoints. Translates brand-defined personas and audience strategies into intuitive navigation, user flows, and interaction models that improve usability and engagement. Owns site architecture, accessibility, and mobile-first best practices while guiding UX research, testing, and experimentation efforts to reduce friction and enhance the overall user experience.

    Salesforce & Platform Ownership:

  • Serves as the primary business owner for Salesforce-enabled digital experiences, including CRM, Marketing Cloud, Personalization, and Experience Cloud, ensuring constituent data and behavioral insights inform meaningful and relevant interactions. Oversees WordPress and related digital platforms, managing enhancements, integrations, performance, and vendor partnerships. Ensures platforms support personalization, lifecycle journeys, and a unified 360° view of the constituent while evaluating and recommending technologies that improve engagement, scalability, and stewardship.

    Analytics & Optimization:

  • Oversees digital analytics strategy and performance measurement across websites, campaigns, and engagement initiatives. Analyzes marketing, behavioral, donor, and operational data to uncover actionable insights that inform decisions and drive improvements. Leads structured testing and “test-and-learn” programs, ensures proper tagging and data integrity, and communicates clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

    Team Leadership & Stewardship:

  • Leads, mentors, and equips digital experience specialists across SEO, UX, WordPress development, Experience Cloud, and analytics functions, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team culture. Facilitates goal setting and performance management, provides execution guidance on major initiatives, and partners cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, Creative, and ministry stakeholders. Manages budgets, vendors, and resources with strong stewardship and accountability to ensure responsible use of ministry investments.

    Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • 7+ years of experience in digital experience, product management, UX, analytics, or digital marketing leadership

  • Experience leading cross-functional digital teams

  • Experience designing personalized and lifecycle-based digital journeys

  • Experience conducting UX research and A/B testing

  • Experience managing vendors and budgets

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution

    Stewardship Requirements :

Pay Range: $76,956 to $88,398
