Volt Workforce Solut Quality Engineer - Project Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Volt is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer - Project Manager in Colorado Springs, CO.
Candidates located in the Metro Denver Area have the option for a Hybrid Schedule
As a Quality Engineer - Project Manager, you will:
Lead and close corrective actions (CARs) for manufacturing and engineering issues
Utilize 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies to identify root cause and drive permanent corrective actions
Partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving meetings and ensure actions remain on track
Review and approve PFMEAs, control plans, MSA, PPAP, and APQP activities
Perform internal audits and support external audits (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
Analyze quality data using SPC and capability studies
Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
This is a full-time, 6-month contract assignment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience leading corrective actions and 8D problem solving
Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949
Ability to influence engineers and stakeholders through data-driven collaboration
Experience using Excel, Minitab, JMP, or similar analytical tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading cross-functional quality projects
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Auditor Certification
Semiconductor or electronics manufacturing experience
Pay Range: $53/hr. - $55/hr.
1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday
