Work Schedule: Full Time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $55.29 - $77.40 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

Evaluate and treat patients as directed by clinical protocols. Function as a member of the health care team and collaborate closely with the Urgent Care physicians, nurses and other providers.

Responsibilities:

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.

Provides care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision-making, and the right to self-determination.

Performs acute episodic care in a safe, evidence based, efficient manner.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Required Education: Physician Assistant Program completion.

Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Physician Assistant. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level. ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS: Eligible to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid. Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspector General (HHS/OIG) Cumulative Sanction Report or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.

Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience working with pediatric and adult patients.

  • IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
