Position Responsibilities
- Plan, oversee, and support the installation, programming, testing, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems across secure enterprise environments, including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks
- Lead and supervise a VTC/AV support team responsible for maintaining specialized hardware, software, and peripherals, including codecs, control systems, gateways, scheduling tools, displays, and projection systems
- Program, configure, and maintain Extron, Crestron, AMX, and BIAMP control and digital signal processing (DSP) systems for complex AV/VTC deployments
- Perform rack-level system configuration, system testing, troubleshooting, and validation in advanced AV environments
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure successful system deployments and reliable day-to-day AV/VTC operations
- Provide timely system updates and programming changes to address outages, evolving requirements, and system enhancements
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including configuration files, commissioning reports, and compliance artifacts in alignment with applicable DoD and DISA standards
- Monitor and oversee daily AV/VTC operations across multiple classified and unclassified networks
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and resolution efforts for escalated issues, including root cause analysis and system-level remediation
- Interface with government stakeholders and external vendors to maintain operational continuity and align technology solutions with mission requirements
- Mentor and train junior AV/VTC personnel, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer
- Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security documentation related to AV/VTC operations
- Stay current with emerging AV and collaboration technologies and provide recommendations for system upgrades and technology refresh initiatives
- Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of advanced experience designing, engineering, installing, and supporting AV/VTC systems
- Demonstrated expertise with AV control system programming, including Crestron, Extron, and AMX platforms, as well as DSP audio integration
- Experience supporting and scheduling AV/VTC systems on secure government networks, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other enterprise environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to time-sensitive technical issues
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex, high-availability environments
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities aligned with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 411 (Intermediate)
- Certification RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ within 90-120 days of hire
- At least one of the following certifications is required or must be obtained:
- Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP)
- Extron Authorized Programmer (EAP)
- Crestron Technician Certification
- Extron Control Professional
- Extron Network AV Specialist
