IT/OT Project Manager - Information Technology

***This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular on‑site work, with eligibility for approved remote work after completion of the probation period.

The Technology Project Management Office is seeking two IT/OT Project Managers to join our team. IT/OT Project Managers plan, organize, lead, and control multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and aligned with defined goals and objectives. They manage schedules, budgets, procurement, contracts, resources, risk, and stakeholder communication.

You will leverage your project management skills and expertise to support technology modernization efforts, new software installations, cybersecurity, business process improvements, communications, testing, and training to lead and support key utility projects. How will you make an impact?

  • Performs project management for information technology and operational technology projects. Manages and serves as lead over assigned projects/programs in support of short- and long-term organizational objectives.

  • Collaborates with project managers and/or sponsoring functional managers to identify project scope, objectives, milestones, resource requirements, cost estimates and performance metrics and deliverables.

  • Develops project charters, project plans, estimates, communication plans and schedules.

  • Leads project team by assembling appropriate personnel and assigns roles and responsibilities; Builds and facilitates team cohesion.

  • Directs project meetings and escalates issues and decision-making to management to proactively facilitate project progression and resolve issues.

  • Interfaces with suppliers, contractors and task specialists. Initiates acquisition of materials, resources, equipment and services.

  • Tracks, monitors, analyzes and reports projects’ costs, schedule and scope status.

  • Prepares and reports project status, including key issues, critical decisions, milestones, constraints and risks formally and informally to sponsoring functional managers and key stakeholders.

  • Monitors and approves expenditures within limits of project budgets.

  • Ensures timely project activities, as well as efficient and cost-effective use of time, materials and resources.

  • Recommends changes or deviations to project plan parameters.

  • Coordinates project retrospective and close-out activities at project completion.

  • Ensures projects are executed in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, ordinances and codes, and with company policies, procedures, and standards.

  • PMP certification is valued, as are certifications in project management, Agile and/or Scrum

  • Knowledge of PMI-based project management best practices and standards

  • Competencies critical for success include effective communication, prioritization and time management, strategic thinking, process optimization, resourcefulness, adaptability, and instilling trust
