Actalent Construction Project Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large, complex federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role carries full responsibility for schedule, budget, contracts, and profit & loss, and requires strong leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.

You’ll lead $30M+ federal projects, managing schedule, budget, contracts, and P&L, while working with a dedicated federal team that understands how to execute the work the right way. USACE experience is a strong plus. Travel is limited—about one short trip per month.

Work Environment: Flexible office environment based out of any Colorado office (Colorado Springs, Centennial, Fort Collins).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Own project budget, schedule, contracts, and P&L

  • Manage GMP development, cost control, and forecasting

  • Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and change management

  • Oversee project scheduling (Primavera P6 preferred)

  • Ensure compliance with federal requirements, safety, and documentation

  • Maintain accurate WIP reporting and financial forecasts

  • Identify and mitigate project risks

  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate project teams and stakeholders

  • Drive project documentation and clean closeout

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager

  • Experience managing $30M+ federal construction projects

  • Strong understanding of federal compliance and documentation requirements

  • Willingness to travel approximately once per month (3 days at a time)

  • USACE project experience

  • Primavera P6 scheduling experience

This is a Permanent position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
