Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Job Description
The Staff Pharmacist will oversee and perform high-risk sterile compounding steps such as API dissolution, pH adjustment, sterilizing filtration, and aseptic filling operations within ISO 5 cleanroom environments. You will ensure the correct execution of workflows and maintain comprehensive, accurate production documentation. This role involves supervising monitoring activities, supporting quality assurance, and adhering to controlled substance access rules.
Responsibilities
Perform and oversee sterile compounding operations under ISO 5 conditions.
Maintain accurate and real-time production documentation.
Execute and supervise monitoring activities and escalate anomalies.
Collaborate with QA to support deviation reporting and ensure proper handling of QA responsibilities.
Manage outsourced lab results and contribute to quality agreements.
Adhere to controlled substance access rules and maintain chain-of-custody behaviors.
Provide training and coaching to technicians in aseptic techniques and documentation discipline.
Participate in readiness activities for production commencement.
Essential Skills
PharmD degree.
Active pharmacist license in New York State or ability to obtain promptly.
Experience in sterile compounding (503A, 503B, or cGMP environment).
Strong cGMP documentation skills and comfort with electronic QMS workflows.
Ability to meet pharmacist coverage expectations and comply with governance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Structured SOP training and cleanroom qualification experience.
Experience in handling controlled substances and maintaining chain-of-custody.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonie, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $100.00/hr.
