Cognizant IT Project Coordinator in Colombia, Colombia
About the role
As an IT Project Coordinator, you will make an impact by supporting the planning, tracking, and execution of medium‑complexity projects in logistics, operations, and technology environments. You will be a valued member of the Project Management team and collaborate with project leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams to maintain structure, visibility, and control across initiatives.
In this role, you will:
• Coordinate project activities and follow up on tasks, risks, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
• Support documentation efforts, including requirements, meeting notes, status updates, and progress reports
• Track project metrics, KPIs, and overall performance indicators
• Participate in technology projects by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, and user validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate issues when needed to maintain project timelines and scope
Work model
Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position located in Bogota, Colombia. You will be required to work at the Terminales Logísticos de Colombia site on the Bogotá–Tenjo route. What you must have to be considered
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
• 4 to 8 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or project analyst roles
• Experience participating in logistics, operational, or technology projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams under partial supervision
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of PM methodologies (PMI, Agile, or hybrid)
• Experience with KPIs, tracking dashboards, and performance metrics
• Proficiency with project tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Planner, or similar
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and ability to prepare reports and presentations
These will help you stand out
• Experience with TMS and WMS platforms
• Exposure to implementations, process improvements, or operational follow-up in logistics systems
• Experience working with SharePoint or similar documentation tools
• Advanced English language skills; Portuguese desirable
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude
