Robert Half HR Generalist in Collierville, Tennessee
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations for a team based in Collierville, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance employee support, administrative accuracy, and consistent policy execution. The role will contribute across onboarding, employee relations, benefits coordination, leave administration, and HR systems while helping maintain organized and effective HR processes.
Responsibilities:
• Support employees and managers with guidance on workplace policies, procedures, and general HR-related questions.
• Coordinate onboarding activities to create a smooth and compliant start for new hires, including documentation and orientation support.
• Maintain accurate employee records and update information within HR systems to ensure reliable reporting and data integrity.
• Assist with benefits administration by responding to inquiries, processing changes, and helping employees understand available programs.
• Manage leave-related processes, including tracking requests, maintaining documentation, and ensuring alignment with company guidelines and applicable requirements.
• Help address employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, and supporting fair resolution processes.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of standard operating procedures to improve consistency across HR activities.
• Prepare HR documentation, reports, and correspondence while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail in all records.
• Support HR process improvements and operational changes, including updates tied to systems or workflow adjustments when needed. Requirements
• Experience working in a broad HR Generalist capacity with specific experience handling EMPLOYEE RELATIONS and FMLA (detailed, manual processes of FMLA, ADA, Interactive Process, Documentation, etc)
• Working knowledge of onboarding practices, benefits coordination, and leave of absence administration.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and confidence maintaining accurate employee data.
• Ability to communicate professionally and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience creating, following, or refining standard operating procedures.
• Proficiency with routine HR documentation, recordkeeping, and administrative processes.
