Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Collierville, Tennessee

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to lead and optimize our accounts payable operations in Collierville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee a dedicated team, ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency. This position requires close collaboration with procurement, finance, and operations teams to maintain compliance and build strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and perform regular vendor statement reconciliations to ensure prompt payments.

• Collaborate with procurement and field operations teams to address purchase order discrepancies and ensure vendor compliance.

• Uphold internal controls related to invoice approvals, payment terms, and vendor setup processes.

• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing and resolving inquiries or issues efficiently.

• Lead initiatives to improve accounts payable processes, including implementing system enhancements and automation.

• Manage, mentor, and support the accounts payable team, providing training and constructive feedback to drive performance.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and enhanced efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing accounts payable, ideally in a distribution or wholesale environment.

• Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and implementing standardized practices.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities.

• Proficiency with financial systems such as Oracle and familiarity with system enhancement implementations.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
