The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position in Operations and Decision Analytics, starting on September 1, 2026. This position is primarily focused on meeting the teaching needs of our core undergraduate and graduate courses. Required Qualifications: Be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship. Ph.D. in Operations Management, Information Systems, Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or another closely related quantitative field by the time of appointment. Demonstrated experience in teaching and the ability to deliver high?quality instruction in core operations management subject areas. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, supported by teaching evaluations, instructional innovation, or experience with experiential or project?based learning. Ability or willingness to teach a range of analytics courses, such as operations management, information systems, and/or AI/machine learning, including courses involving tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, and Excel. Evidence of research potential or a developing research agenda in Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or closely related quantitative fields, especially when aligned with existing faculty strengths.
