Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
The Steel Material Handler will support the fabrication shop by efficiently managing the movement and handling of steel materials. This role involves loading and unloading steel from trucks, operating an overhead crane, and transferring steel to production tables. The successful candidate will also perform rigging work as required.
Responsibilities
Load and unload steel from trucks safely and efficiently.
Operate an overhead crane to move steel materials within the fabrication shop.
Transfer steel to production tables to facilitate the fabrication process.
Operate a forklift to manage the transportation of materials.
Perform rigging work to safely maneuver materials as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating an overhead crane.
Experience in loader and unloading operations.
Skilled in heavy equipment operation and material handling.
Proficient in forklift operation.
Ability to perform rigging work for material movement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a fabrication shop or similar environment.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to material handling.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
