Job Title: Chemistry Lab TechnicianJob Description
As an Entry Level Chemist, you will support the analytical testing of raw materials using Gas Chromatography and other analytical methods. You will also be responsible for completing the approval and related paperwork associated with the product.
Responsibilities
Review MSDS files both in hard copy and electronic format.
Update WG MSDS’s for all blends.
Review Certificates of Analysis (CofA) that are created electronically.
Review the GMP procedural book.
Prepare all lab functions, including GC, approve samples before filling, and new railcars, record-keeping for samples, and update lab SOPs.
Periodically clean the GC machine.
Review VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations and follow EPA guidelines.
Perform hydrometer testing for washer solvents.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Lab techniques, Chemistry, and Gas Chromatography.
Experience with raw materials and analytical testing.
Familiarity with quality control, QC testing, HPLC, laboratory procedures, wet chemistry, and analytical chemistry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry is preferred but not required. Related science degrees are acceptable.
Candidates with similar experience and no college degree will be considered.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cockeysville, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
