Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of packaging machinery. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections, making repairs, and troubleshooting equipment issues using your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills. You will also uphold safety standards and maintain cleanliness in your work area.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments on packaging machinery.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance documentation.
Uphold safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
Support smooth changeovers by setting up and adjusting packaging machinery for new product runs.
Perform line clearances and prepare production lines for startup.
Conduct equipment tests to verify performance and product quality.
Support spare parts inventory management.
Work with procurement to order parts and supplies as needed.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical skills gained through education or hands-on experience.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with cGMP and safety principles (training provided if not completed).
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional Certificates/Associate's Degree preferred but not required.
Experience with hand tools, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
Experience in plc troubleshooting.
Physical ability to regularly bend, squat, stand, climb, and handle objects.
Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working around moving machinery and moderate noise.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, climate-controlled, and quiet environment where the temperature never exceeds 71 degrees. The facility is organized and solid, providing a conducive atmosphere for productivity. You will work directly with a maintenance manager and operations manager and be trained on new technologies.

This is a Contract position based out of Clinton, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
