Aerotek Loader in Clinton, Illinois
Machine Operation & Trim Production
Operate machinery to produce trim components for building projects.
Load sheet metal into machines, using a tape measure to ensure precise cuts and dimensions.
Inspect materials for visual quality and troubleshoot issues using basic math and problem‑solving skills.
Material Handling & Physical Labor
Participate in the Purlin process , lifting and positioning materials to support building frame production.
Regularly handle sheet metal weighing 50–60 pounds .
Use a banding gun to palletize orders and secure products with straps.
Bend, lift, and wrap products to prepare them for shipment.
Bundle sheet metal for truck loading and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Essential Skills
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
Familiarity with safety protocols in a production setting.
Skills in metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, and handling sheet metal.
Machine operation experience, including the use of hand tools.
Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move throughout the entire shift.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in general production, assembly, or general labor.
Experience as a loader or in construction environments.
Sheet metal fabrication and packaging experience.
Ability to operate overhead cranes.

Work Environment & Schedule
Metal fabrication shop environment; not temperature controlled.
Training provided for new and entry‑level employees.
Available shifts:
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
