The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Secondary (7-12) Mathematics Teacher. The successful candidate will need to:
Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge of secondary mathematics to include but not be limited to Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry and Calculus;
Exhibit an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
Exhibit willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;
Build a positive rapport with students and families;
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of a team;
Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills; and
Make a strong commitment to professional learning and a growth mindset.
Job Qualifications
Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Mathematics 7-12
Institutional Recommendations – Mathematics 7-12
New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Education All Students Test (EAS)
Content Specialty Test (CST) – Mathematics or Safety Net Mathematics
Workshop – Child Abuse Identification (Second Update)
Workshop - Dignity for All Students Act
Fingerprint Clearance
