Shifts Available:
1st Shift
2nd Shift (includes 15% shift differential)
3rd Shift (includes 20% shift differential)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform set-up, dimensional inspection, and production operations on a variety of CNC equipment, including:
Live-tool lathes
Swiss lathes
Grinders
EDMs
Mills and machining centers
Set up CNC equipment with limited supervision, including prove-outs of new processes and making all necessary adjustments to obtain an approved First Article Inspection Report (FAIR).
Conduct full dimensional inspections—including lengths, diameters, radii, finishes, and geometric tolerances—for both First Article and in-process inspections.
Run production quantities while maintaining process capability and meeting established productivity and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and improve processes during both setup and production phases to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate effectively with teammates to achieve shared production and quality goals.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
Utilize software tools to:
Manage tooling inventory
Review and maintain standards
Collect SPC (Statistical Process Control) data
Capture job performance and production data
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to company safety standards and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist (experience with live-tool or Swiss lathes preferred).
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and inspection reports.
Strong understanding of CNC programming concepts, setup, and machining practices.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMMs.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
