Description
The role will support our rapidly growing and evolving Books (including Kindle e-books) and Devices and Services (Alexa, Echo devices, Fire TV devices, Appstore, e-readers, Tablets, Ring/Blink, Smart Home, Photos) businesses in France. Lawyers at Amazon are trusted members of the business. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced. Key job responsibilities
You will serve as a lawyer responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of French and wider EU commercial and regulatory matters and for structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including digital media, consumer products, marketing, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
About the team
Based in our Paris office, you will be part of the French legal team, and work with a broader international EMEA legal team that supports the Books and Devices and Services businesses in France and EMEA. We closely cooperate with legal colleagues in the US and other parts of the world.
Basic Qualifications
Fully qualified lawyer in France with outstanding legal qualification.
At least 5+ year’s post-qualification legal experience with some part of that supporting electronic devices, digital media, consumer products, e-commerce or retail businesses.
Significant IP/Media experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as a business partner to our business teams;
Outstanding legal and business judgment; Strong strategic organizational and project management skills, drafting, negotiation, analytical, management and leadership skills;
Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate contracts
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Work well with all levels of employees and management
