The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
The Finishing Process Engineer/ Senior Analyst will continue driving operational optimization in the Finishing Department with preferred knowledge of: porcelain enameling, powder paint, and laser etching processes. The successful engineering candidate will use their vast technical knowledge, data analysis, and process engineering tools to provide technical support to operations, develop robust processes, assure quality compliance to keep the finishing processes performing at a high level with high-quality yields. The role will collaborate cross-functionally with many roles in the organization, including: plant personnel at the floor level to close process capability gaps, to design engineering consulting on finishing capabilities and product costing, to lead continuous improvement project teams of various scales to solve complex problems to maintain business key performance indicators. The role will provide leadership and development of a direct report.
Your responsibilities will include
Work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment
Initiate safety, cost, quality, and productivity improvements in the manufacturing operations
Initiate problem-solving and conduct root cause analysis
Provide help chain support for all shift operations, serving as a technical resource champion
Maintain quality standards within the department
Lead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) teams
Work with shop floor work teams, shop floor leaders, and other departments to ensure the greatest efficiency
Implement projects and special assignments as required
Assure operations are ready to meet production requirements for the next shift
Strong data analytics to interpret results and identify trends and patterns.
Work flexible hours as required to support operations and project implementation.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree
2 years of experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred skills and experiences
Excellent planning, project management, and leadership skills
Superior communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and OPEX (Six Sigma) tools, and the ability to apply them in order to establish robust manufacturing processes
Proven problem-solving skills (WCM tool knowledge preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills
Expertise in a manufacturing-related environment with a good understanding of plant operations
Solid decision-making and judgment skills
Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks
Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
PC Proficient in Google Suites
Sheet Metal Fabrication experience, including stamping, Welding, and CNC forming. In addition, powder paint or porcelain coating of fabricated parts in Manufacturing Operations is preferred
