Professional Placement Service LLC Weld Technician in Cleveland, Ohio
Join our team as a Weld Technician, where you'll play a key role in keeping our welding and laser-scanning equipment running at peak performance. You'll support production, train operators, troubleshoot equipment, and help develop weld and Perceptron programs.
Job Title: Weld Technician
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Shift: 3rd shift (10pm-6am)
Compensation: Salary, Non-Exempt (You get OT)
What You'll Do:
- Support daily welding and scanning operations
- Train new operators on equipment and processes
- Troubleshoot weld programs, robotics (Motoman), and fixtures
- Develop and maintain weld and laser programs
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams
- Uphold safety and quality standards (ISO, TS16949, PPAP)
What You'll Bring:
- 4+ years' experience in welding or manufacturing
- Experience with Motoman robot controllers (MRC, XRC, NX, DX, YRC)
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)
- Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, GD&T, and ISO standards
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
